Department heads reported ongoing maintenance and several active development projects at the March 6 meeting of the Town of Rumford Select Persons. Roberts, listed under Department Heads and Committee Chairs in the minutes, said crews have been ‘‘doing a lot of clean out of the snow and making sure the storm drains are clear’’ and that warranty work on town equipment is underway with pothole repairs planned.
Coulombe reported that the town has received plans and building permits for work at 115 Main Avenue and that ‘‘Hannaford is under construction doing their 2.2 million renovations.’’ Coulombe also noted that ‘‘Wind energy will start cutting for the road for the Wind Towers next week Monday,’’ indicating imminent right-of-way and access work related to wind-energy infrastructure.
