Commission accepts Youth Voice Summit recommendations and pledges fiscal review

Several youth council members spoke in favor of the resolution. Reggie Eskridge, youth engagement coordinator for SCYC, thanked the commission and noted the council would provide follow‑up. District 10 youth representative Mark Williams told commissioners he wanted to influence the FY27 budget to improve youth mental health resources and invited commissioners to the Youth Voice Summit on Feb. 21, 2026. Commissioners pledged to work with the youth and asked county departments for fiscal notes and program coordination.
