County Highway Superintendent Dave Sorenson presented multiple procurement bids during the board meeting. For fuel (Item #4), Vollan Oil was recommended and accepted by the Board. Asphalt mix bids were accepted from multiple firms to be used depending on availability; Jamir Reclamation bid Class E-1 at $65.00 per ton while several other firms submitted higher prices.
The Board also approved gravel crushing from Rechnagel Construction at $2.35 per ton for 3/4-inch material and accepted road oil bids from Jebro (MC70 $703.74 per ton; MC3000 $892.30 per ton). Spencer Quarries' quartzite bid of $16.00 per ton was accepted. Commissioner motions approved all recommended awards with unanimous votes.
