Westshore mayors approve March minutes; treasurer reports awaiting city contributions

At the April 8 Westshore Council of Governments meeting, mayors approved the March 11 minutes (with one abstention) and the March financial report. WSCOG Treasurer Renee Mahoney said she is waiting on contributions from member cities and will repost a vacant finance-assistant position.
Mayor Dennis Clough moved and Mayor Meghan George seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the March 11, 2026 Westshore Council of Governments meeting; the motion carried with Mayor Paul Koomar recorded as abstaining.
WSCOG Treasurer Renee Mahoney presented the March financial report and said "there is nothing new to report" because she is waiting on contributions from Westshore cities. Mayor Bill Schneider moved and Mayor George seconded approval of the report; the motion was approved.
Mahoney also announced the applicant for the vacant finance-assistant position "fell through," and the position will be reposted. The council confirmed its next meeting for June 10, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., and canceled the May 13 meeting.
