Edgardo Vaquerano, a member of the South Whittier Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC), updated the Board on bond-funded capital work. He reported that Measure QS projects have been completed and that implementation of Measure K projects—planned roof repairs, replacements and HVAC upgrades—is now underway.
Vaquerano said Measure K funding was made possible through Proposition 39 and voter approval, and that the CBOC conducts public meetings so community members can review project status and funding reports. He reported that an independent audit of the bond programs produced an unmodified opinion, the highest level of assurance from auditors.
The presentation noted the committee's ongoing public meeting schedule and opportunities for community oversight; no formal board action was required on the report.
