A motion by Lowey, seconded by Connors, proposed continuing the Health and Human Services Board's regular meeting schedule at 8:30 a.m. on the second Monday of each month (August on the third Monday). During discussion, Breeden moved an amendment to change the start time to 4:00 p.m.; that amendment failed on a hand vote. A second amended motion to set the start time at 2:00 p.m., moved by Wayne and seconded by Breeden, also failed.
A hand-count on the original motion produced a tally of four yes and two no; the original motion passed, so the board will retain the 8:30 a.m. start time and the second-Monday schedule (with August on the third Monday). The minutes do not record which individual members voted yes or no.
