Hofberger elected chair; Kesler chosen vice chair of Calumet County Land and Water Conservation Committee

Hofberger was elected chair of the Calumet County Land and Water Conservation Committee during its May 7 meeting after a unanimous ballot. Hansen nominated Hofberger; Lowey moved and McCann seconded to cast a unanimous ballot electing Hofberger to the chair position. Hofberger later nominated Kesler for vice chair; Hansen moved and Lowey seconded to cast a unanimous ballot electing Kesler as vice chair.
The committee also approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Kesler seconded by Lowey. The minutes from the April 2, 2026 committee meeting were approved on a motion by Lowey, seconded by Hansen; the minutes note the approval passed with “4 ayes, with Wayne and McCann abstaining as they were not present.” The session was called to order by Reali at 10:30 a.m. and adjourned by Hofberger at 12:07 p.m.
