"What that does is allow us to be able to have a contractor come out and be able to say, here, fix it, but we still wanna bring it to you in front of the board today, so we have your approval for that," staff said.
Staff also noted a bid for an auxiliary‑gym HVAC project at Huntington High for $49,869 and said custodial equipment purchases and other annual procurement items were on the consent agenda. Board members asked whether mold remediation would follow water‑intrusion repairs; staff said stopping the moisture intrusion is priority and remediation can follow once leaks are stopped.
