Sarah Jones, executive director of the Placer Resource Conservation District, briefed the Agricultural Commission on RCD programs that advise landowners on soil health, erosion control and irrigation management and that provide cost-share incentives.
Jones said the RCD offers Conservation Planning/Cost Share, a PCWA water-storage tank rebate, a Compost Cost Share Program, and an Agriculture Chipping Program, and that the district partners with the Agriculture Department to coordinate the annual Ag Tour. She directed listeners to www.placerrcd.org for program details and enrollment information.
The commission received the report as information; no formal action was recorded in the minutes.
