Kingsbury County commissioners approve claims, including $180,952 state remittance

At its Feb. 17 meeting in De Smet the Kingsbury County Board of County Commissioners approved payment of the claims presented to the board and directed the county auditor to issue the warrants (motion by Commissioner Steve Spilde, second by Commissioner Troy Nelson). The motion carried with all present voting aye.
The approved claims list included a state remittance to the South Dakota Department of Revenue for $180,952.06 and vendor payments such as Transource for $8,374.74, Multi Business Solutions for $3,250.00 and Zell Manufacturing for $2,397.01. The board did not separate any large items for further discussion during the meeting.
The vote to approve the claims was unanimous among the five commissioners present: Kyle Lee (chair, participating by Zoom), Corey Lundquist (vice chairman), Roger Walls, Steve Spilde and Troy Nelson. The board’s approval authorizes the auditor to issue warrant checks for those amounts.
