Board reviews draft bylaws, looks to neighboring townships for park rules

"Crosby Township and Madison Township do not have park boards; their parks are handled by their township administrator and township trustees," the committee member said, describing differences in local arrangements and the materials she shared with the board. Members discussed using an abbreviated rules display at the park (QR code or a glass display board with changeable notices) and using a shelter reservation form similar to those used in neighboring townships.
Board members agreed to continue work on bylaws and to present specific proposed rules at the next meeting. The group also noted that Madison Township had received a grant to build a permanent concession stand and restroom facility, a model some members said might be informative as Morgan Township plans future capital items.
The board asked members to review supplied materials and bring suggestions for incremental adoption of bylaws and rules rather than attempting a comprehensive adoption in a single meeting.
