The Woodstock Select Board reappointed four volunteers to the town’s finance committee on Aug. 4, extending terms that will run through the next March town meeting. The four named were John Spector, Kareem Howery, Todd Ersink and Ellen Lefever.
John Spector, who the board noted has served as finance committee chair, told the board the committee intends to operate on a project basis — convening to work on specific objectives assigned by the board rather than holding routine standing meetings. "Rather than to just meet on a routine basis to be asked by the select board... to work on a specific project with objectives," he said, describing the committee’s preferred operating model. The board approved the reappointments by voice vote; members discussed staggering future terms so appointments would not all expire simultaneously in March.
