Engineer reports progress on Diamond 3 field, transit-village design and Veterans Boulevard drainage

The borough engineer said grading and top stone are complete at Diamond 3 multipurpose field, fencing and lighting installation is underway, milling was postponed by rain, and an estimated $1.2 million in additional support could be allocated to Leisure Lane/field improvements; Transit Village phase 2 and Tamblin/Jakeslaw Park are in design.
Brian, the borough engineer, briefed the council on multiple capital projects, saying Diamond 3's grading is done, top stone placed, fencing being installed and the playing surface is in production. He said light poles will include AV/coax conduit for future cameras or speakers and the contractor is coordinating lighting with field installation.
Milling for the paving program was postponed by rain and will proceed when conditions allow. Brian said there is an additional $1,200,000 in support that could be allocated to Diamond 3 and Leisure Lane improvements and that the team is performing a value-engineering review that might reallocate a planned parking lot into other community amenities.
He also reported design progress for Tamblin (Jake's Law Park) and the Transit Village phase 2 concepts have been submitted to the borough administrator; Veterans Boulevard received additional NJDOT money for drainage and paving work. Brian said bids and stakeholder input are planned as the projects move toward procurement.
