Ag Department reports staffing shifts, resource fair turnout and facility tours

He also reported the Placer Resource Conservation District held a resource fair in February that was "well attended, with around 60-70 farmers and ranchers attending."
Huntsinger added that he toured a new USDA‑inspected meat processing facility opening soon in Colusa County and visited the Nevada Union High School District Farm, which was donated to the district and is proposing a future livestock processing facility. Commissioners noted these operational developments and the department indicated it will continue recruitment and stakeholder engagement.
