Dr. Toon presented three design clusters for the district strategic plan, showing pentagon, shield and banner options that could be used in unified and standalone applications. He said the design is intended to convey academic achievement, community connection and operational excellence while remaining flexible for web and print.
Board members commented on aesthetics and legibility; one member noted that the yellow accent had low contrast on light backgrounds and suggested drop shadows or darker treatments. After discussion of use cases and color treatments, Ms. Barber moved to approve cluster 1 as the strategic-plan graphic; Ms. Price seconded the motion and the board approved it by voice vote.
The communications team (Noel Olsen and Chris Williams) will produce final color and treatment variants for web and print, and the board requested attention to contrast to ensure legibility in multiple formats.
