The West Branch City Council on Aug. 3 unanimously approved Resolution 2026-78 to adopt a Fiscal Policy Manual after a brief public hearing that produced no public comments. Mayor Roger Laughlin opened and closed the hearing and the Council moved immediately to action.
Councilmember Tom Dean moved to approve the resolution and Councilmember Colton Miller seconded. The vote was recorded as AYES: Dean, Miller, Noel, Horihan, Sexton; NAYS: None. The manual will guide fiscal procedures and internal controls for the coming fiscal year and supplements the city’s budget and finance policies.
