The Lumberland Planning Board took the initial presentation for an application filed by 44 Delaware LLC seeking to convert an existing motel use toward retail and personal-service uses.
The applicant described possible tenants including ‘‘hair salon, hair salon, massages,’’ and the board and staff discussed required materials. A planning staff member said the applicant ‘‘received approval early this year’’ and noted outstanding issues including nonconforming setbacks, parking requirements and an environmental-assessment form entry noting historic places; staff said the applicant had supplied information about the disposal (septic) system for the site and that staff would review the submissions. The board discussed whether the applicant should submit new drawings or both new and prior plans and agreed that the item would likely be rescheduled to the October meeting so it can be noticed for public comment if the applicant completes the outstanding materials.
The board did not take a final vote. The applicant was asked to supply full plans and clarifying documentation about parking and the septic/disposal system; staff indicated they would review the materials once submitted. A next step is formal public notice and scheduling for the next available meeting.
