Mary Ann Farrell reported on park maintenance work at the Long House on Aug. 14: pressure washing around the Long House is complete, crews are cutting back overhanging trees, removed playground equipment has been reinstalled, and an order was placed for black cinder to refresh the playground surface. The report was given on behalf of Michael Hauanio.
In the meeting's old-business segment Director Rod Kindel said there was no new update on the park grant, but the President reported estimates have been submitted to the County and contractors are ready to begin Phase 1 once grant approvals are finalized. No timetable or funding amounts were provided during the meeting.
