At the July 10 meeting Treasurer Janice Tucker reported the association holds $287,000 in total across its accounts and has $616,000 in accounts receivable, of which $147,000 is listed as a write-off. Tucker said she is developing office policies and procedures to improve efficiency and suggested placing an accountant in the office to strengthen financial management.
The figures formed part of the Treasurer’s Report and were presented as specific items for board consideration. The board did not take an immediate vote on hiring outside accounting services during the meeting; the Audit Prep Working Group discussed a related proposal (see separate summary).
