Another commenter described a recent safety incident in which a 6-year-old autistic student was left unsupervised after dismissal and arrived home alone. That parent asked the board to ensure accountability and strengthen dismissal procedures for students with IEPs and adult aides. The superintendent said the incident had been addressed at the building and district level and acknowledged it "shouldn't happen."
