Council approves contracts for Well No. 23 and design agreement for Well No. 24

"So what we're looking for tonight is a resolution approving contracts and bonds for the Storm Lake Well Number 23 project to go ahead and get this thing moving forward," Colbert said. Councilmember Martinez moved approval; Piercy seconded, and the resolution passed on roll call.
Colbert also described plans for Production Well No. 24, a deeper Jordan‑aquifer well to be sited on a newly acquired roughly 9‑acre parcel east/south of the school. He requested approval of an engineering agreement with INS Group Incorporated for design work; Councilperson Piercy moved and Martinez seconded the motion, which passed by voice vote.
The council did not debate funding sources or construction timelines in detail during the session; staff indicated the projects would proceed to contracting and design after council approvals.
