At the March 17 meeting the McGill Town Council reviewed its special-projects list and discussed next steps for several items.
Chairperson Angelopoulos explained the town hopes to complete a parking lot at Kinnear Library with some financial help from White Pine County, which owns the property. Council also noted that the McGill ballpark project will remain on White Pine County’s list for submittal to SNPLMA Round 21 for potential funding. Work continues on a list of street signs to send to the White Pine County Road Department. David Miller said he would send council vendors for a replacement bench by the post office and asked that the bench purchase be placed on the April meeting agenda.
The council did not record formal votes or funding commitments for the library parking lot or SNPLMA submittal at this meeting; both items remain at the discussion and planning stage pending county involvement and grant-round timing.
