During the Old Business portion of the June 1 meeting, committee members directed all committee chairs to discuss 2026 budget-to-actuals in their May committee meetings and to report findings to the Finance Committee in June. The minutes specifically state that any expense GL codes above 41.6% and any incomes under 41.6% must be discussed and reported.
The minutes note that the Highway and Jail budgets are 'in good shape.' Separately, the Insurance Committee was asked to report back at the June meeting about potential expected rate adjustments for 2027, with a check-back planned for September because it is still early to estimate changes.
