The Peekskill Historic Landmark Preservation Board approved a storefront sign for 1006 Park Street after reviewing samples and a mock-up supplied by the applicant. Franklin Nunez, representing the applicant, presented the proposed flat sign and the dimensions (23.5 by 96 inches) and said the windows would be left clear. Board members asked that the sign be centered on the band above the second-story window and that the sign text be justified at the left indent; staff said those items would be conditions of approval and would be checked at final submission.
"Those will be a condition of your approval, but we'll check for that when you have the final," the staff member said, and the board voted to approve the sign with the requested adjustments. The applicant agreed to provide final samples and to comply with the board’s placement and alignment conditions.
