Peekskill historic board approves minutes, consents to Planning Commission lead for environmental review

At its Jan. 23 meeting the Peekskill Historic Landmark Preservation Board approved its Dec. 5 minutes, consented to designate the Planning Commission as lead agency for a SEEKER environmental review of 1101 Main Street, and recorded a unanimous vote on a sign approval earlier in the agenda.
The Peekskill Historic Landmark Preservation Board opened its Jan. 23 meeting and approved the minutes of Dec. 5 by voice vote. Chair (speaker 2) called for the motion and the board voted in favor; the chair noted the action was unanimous.
Staff explained an application for a change of use at 1101 Main Street requires an environmental review under "SEEKER" and that the city or applicant must designate a lead agency. Staff asked the board to consent to naming the Planning Commission as the lead agency for that environmental review; the board provided its consent. The board also approved a storefront sign for 1006 Park Street with placement and text-alignment conditions during the meeting’s applications.
The board set its next meeting for Feb. 27 and adjourned. No further formal actions were taken on the last agenda item, which was tabled for additional materials and follow-up.
