Lawson said staff had reduced water levels but the problem kept recurring and that there are restrictions at both the culvert intake and the discharge point into Deep River.
The Board approved an emergency declaration to mitigate flooding on adjacent parcels and prevent further driveway deterioration (motion Mr. Broadaway, second Mr. Mandon; all aye 5/0). The Board also authorized submission of an application for a Chi‑Cal grant to assess whether the City qualifies for Duck Creek Phase 3 funding; Kingsland clarified no City funds were committed by approving the application (motion Mr. Broadaway, second Mr. Mandon; all aye 5/0).
