Commission approves Eden Hills CDD boundary contraction

On July 20 the Lake Alfred City Commission approved Ordinance 1577-26 to amend the Eden Hills Community Development District boundary, contracting approximately 25.2568 acres from the district. Staff said the district currently comprises about 396.65 acres and that the applicant satisfied petition, notice, and public hearing requirements under Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes.
Vice Mayor Nancy Daley asked whether fees would change if the district boundary was contracted. Roy Van Wyk responded that there was no debt associated with the lot and that any increase in costs would be operational and anticipated to be less than 2 percent. Commissioner Ronnie Robinson moved for approval, Commissioner Brent Eden seconded, and the measure passed unanimously.
The ordinance contracts the CDD boundary and was approved on second and final reading.
