The Marseilles Elementary School District #150 Board of Education on April 24 approved the LaSalle County Clerk's unofficial canvass of the district election, certifying vote totals that showed Christy Carpenter with 185 votes, Bradley A. Miller 176, Julie Morey 171 and Bobby Kaminski 145.
After the canvass, the board completed its organizational business. A motion to adjourn the meeting sine die was approved and Superintendent Brenda Donahue was appointed President Pro Tem to conduct reorganization. The board then elected Jim Barnes as board president and Christy Carpenter as vice‑president for two‑year terms, and appointed Deb DeGraaf as secretary and Craig Hepner as treasurer; all motions carried unanimously. Deb DeGraaf told the board that "no one had registered or requested to speak" when asked about public comment for the meeting.
