Councilor Scott noted the public benefit of a newly opened park and also pointed to the windfall for the prior owner, saying the owner had made a sizable profit in a short period.
The council approved the appropriation by roll call (10 in favor, none opposed) and placed the item on file; staff said the administration will continue to manage the acquisition and follow up on any remaining implementation steps.
