Commissioners approve vacation of old Pleasant Drive alignment, contingent on replat

"It appears as though when they built the road... it is shifted 50 feet to the east of where it was intended to be," the planning viewer said, explaining owners are replatting affected lots so the old dedicated right-of-way can be vacated. Commissioners voted to approve the recommendation, contingent on completion and approval of the replat; staff were asked to draft the resolution so the vacation can be finalized once the replat is recorded.
No public objections were recorded in the meeting transcript; commissioners emphasized the vacation is conditional on replat completion so homeowners will not face title jeopardy in the future.
