During the citizens forum, resident Brett Eberly said the bridge structure on Hugging Hollow Road is impassable and that he has not been contacted about the issue since the previous November. Eberly told the board the structure could have been repaired at lower cost earlier and urged action.
County Counselor Jantz told Mr. Eberly he would contact the attorney representing him. Road and Bridge Director Jim Meier later noted the county had previously repaired issues near the structure but that dumped debris changed water flows and led to an abutment washout; he said the issue is in the legal process.
