Brightpoint College asks Amelia County for $27,066 scholarship match as Tobacco Commission funding phases out

The Brightpoint representatives requested a $27,066 county match to support scholarships for Amelia County High School students; Administrator Eric Pollitt said that request is already included in his recommended budget for the upcoming fiscal year. No formal vote was taken at the meeting; staff will process the budget through the usual hearings and adoption process.
