The Marseilles Elementary School District #150 Board of Education unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget on Sept. 25. Board member Christy Carpenter moved to approve the budget; trustee Vicki Thomas seconded the motion and the full board voted aye.
During the meeting, Treasurer Craig Hepner reported that the operating account balance as of Aug. 31 was $2.01 million and that August receipts totaled $1.62 million, aided by $1.07 million in real estate tax receipts. Hepner told the board that revenue is running about 11% over budget year-to-date through the first two months of the fiscal year, driven by the timing of tax receipts.
Board members did not request further amendments to the budget during the meeting and no votes were recorded against the measure.
