Marseilles schools achieve 100% on Special Education State Monitoring, superintendent says

Superintendent Brenda Donahue told the Marseilles Elementary School District #150 Board of Education on Sept. 25 that Marseilles Elementary School received "100% on Special Education State Monitoring," marking a milestone the district had pursued for 11 years.
Donahue said the district celebrated the monitoring result while also noting a procedural delay: the LaSalle County Assessor retired recently, which has delayed the estimated assessed valuation (EAV) and, as a result, pushed back the district's audit presentation. Donahue said Bill Newkirk informed the district that the state has not yet provided the information needed to complete the audit presentation.
The board acknowledged the monitoring result during routine reports and did not take formal action tied to the announcement. The district will proceed with its next reporting and audit steps once county and state figures are available.
