Wisconsin Street Bridge estimate trimmed to about $1 million after revised flood elevations

Revisions to flood elevation data have significantly reduced the scope and estimated cost of the Wisconsin Street Bridge project, City Engineer Alex Metz told the board. Metz said the roadway may no longer require elevation adjustments, and the revised project estimate is approximately $1 million compared with a prior estimate near $3 million.
Metz reported that the bid opening is anticipated on July 15, with construction expected later this year and final resurfacing planned for spring 2027. The scope change follows updated flood-elevation modeling and will alter design and contract requirements; Mr. Metz said staff will proceed to bid under the revised scope.
