The Hobart Sanitary District voted to approve a preliminary engineering agreement with BF&S for work related to a proposed data center, with the agreement capped at $525,000 and structured as reimbursable. City Engineer Alex Metz said the developer will contribute an additional $35,000 through building permit fees toward total engineering costs.
"The agreement is structured as a reimbursable arrangement, with the developer contributing an additional $35,000 through building permit fees toward the total engineering cost of $525,000," Metz said. Mr. Larry Gutierrez moved to approve the BF&S agreement not to exceed $525,000; the motion was seconded and carried (4/0). The approval maintains project momentum while finalizing the Sanitary Service Connection Agreement and related reimbursements.
