City plans to reapply for $8 million water-and-sewer project and retain grant writer

Council members asked whether the firm would be guaranteed construction or project work if the grant is awarded; staff replied that award does not guarantee Barton & Loguidice will perform the funded construction work and that some grants prohibit grant-writers from performing subsequent project work.
"One of the main grant applications that we want to file is one that they've already written last year, which we were not awarded...it's an $8,000,000 project for water and sewer," the city manager said.
