Mayor Leigh Anne Young and commissioners discussed transitioning from use of a town debit card to a town credit card to reduce fraud exposure. On Feb. 5 the board voted unanimously to authorize Mayor Young to apply for a town credit card with a $5,000 credit limit.
The minutes indicate the motion was made by Commissioner Sara Stahlman and seconded by Commissioner Dale Collins. The board also scheduled a Strategic Planning session for March 16, 2026 (1:00–4:00 p.m.) and a Budget Workshop for March 27, 2026 (1:00–3:30 p.m.).
