Jim Meier, Harvey County Road & Bridge Superintendent, presented Resolution 2025-19 directing placement of stop signs at SE 48th Street and South Webb Road and noted some existing stop signs countywide may not have been previously authorized by formal resolution. Commissioner Terry Scott moved to adopt the resolution and Becky Reimer seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Becky Reimer raised related roadway concerns in the same discussion, noting clogged culverts on SE 48th Street that Road & Bridge is scheduling for repair. Counselor Brad Jantz agreed staff should prepare a blanket resolution to ensure existing stop signs comply with authorization procedures, and Meier said proper authorization procedures will be followed for future placements.
