County hears $261,760 CSA appropriation request as youth service costs rise

The coordinator said the locality served 19 youth this fiscal year and stressed that prevention programs are being prioritized to reduce future costly placements. The board discussed the financial pressure created by state funding changes and moved the appropriation forward; a motion was made and the board carried it by hand-raise vote to allow the appropriation to be posted and managed through DSS and finance.
