The applicant said he initially purchased a lockbox from a retailer but the fire department required a specific model; he said they later installed the chief-specified lockbox and a town representative inspected and approved it.
"We bought got in and bought a a lockbox already, fire department lockbox from Amazon," applicant Albert Kang said; he later said the fire department inspector rejected that first box but that they purchased the specified unit and an inspector told them everything was fine. The board asked staff to send a formal request to the police chief for any outstanding concerns and to return the item once that information is provided.
