Harvey County finance staff reported modest increases in sales-tax collections in June during the July 1 commission meeting. Shannon Kingsley presented the June Sales & Use Tax distribution, saying month-to-date collections were "up about 3.73% for the month" and year-to-date totals were up about 2.97% compared with the prior year.
The sales-tax report in the meeting packet included monthly and year-to-date tables; Kingsley noted the county's second-cent sales-tax totals and several multi-year comparisons. The figures were provided as informational reporting; no action beyond acceptance of the report was taken at the meeting.
