The Maui County Commission on Persons with Disabilities voted on May 14 to elect Commissioner Lehua Chang as Chair for the 2026–2027 term. Commissioner Victor Lesa moved the nomination and Commissioner Patty Copperfield seconded; the motion passed unanimously (6 - 0, 2 absent, 1 vacancy).
The election followed a routine roll call and other organizational business. The Commission currently has one vacant seat and Commissioners Linda Puppolo and Crystal Thomas were absent from the meeting. The next regular meeting is scheduled for June 10, 2026 at 12:30 pm.
