EAC weighs composting outreach and contractor coordination; reports 400 lbs of batteries collected

Ruth Chang reported roughly 15 attendees at the composting workshop and said many were already composting and had follow-up questions for Back to Earth Composting. The council discussed a request from the private company to survey resident interest; the group's consensus was that the company is a private entity and that township staff will instead ask Mascaro whether it plans to incorporate composting collection with yard-waste services.
Zbigniew Bieniaszewski reported hazardous-waste outreach results: "400 lbs of batteries were collected and one box of media." He noted the next battery collection is scheduled for October. Rachel Petyk said 17 residents purchased rain barrels at the workshop held after the meeting.
