Chair Susan Royer summarized key takeaways from a 'We Conserve - Road Salt' webinar and proposed exploring Pennsylvania Road Salt Association (PARSA) resources to minimize the township’s road-salt impact. Royer suggested the Township consider having a member join PARSA and use PARSA materials to develop local best practices.
Royer said PARSA "have a lot of useful information that could be used to create a white paper for staff and Board of Supervisors." The EAC asked staff to review PARSA materials and to assess whether joining the association or adapting its guidance is practical for Whitpain Township operations.
