The finance department introduced Corey Helm as the new financial operations analyst and described ongoing work to refine project reporting in the county's budget module.
Corey (who identified himself to the committee) said he joined the office recently and will support annual budget and payroll processing. Finance staff said the new Tyler payroll/time-and-attendance module would go live with the December 21 payroll; staff described project codes, improved reporting features and a move away from manual allocation. "The new payroll system is going live starting the payroll December 21," a finance staff member told the committee. Members discussed time-tracking for hourly and salaried staff and training plans to run the new system in parallel before full activation.
