New school board and council members sworn in at Piedmont ceremony

The Piedmont City Council administered oaths of office to newly elected school board and council members during its Dec. 16 meeting.
City Clerk and other officials called newly elected school board members to the front and administered the oath. Max Roman thanked supporters and said he was excited to serve the community; other newly sworn school board members offered similar brief remarks. The council then moved into swearing in new council members, with a former city administrator administering at least one oath.
Those sworn in thanked family, volunteers and city staff and pledged to work collaboratively with staff and partners in the school district and city. The oaths were completed before the council moved to leadership nominations and votes.
