Council Member JoAnn Schroeder updated the council on Parks and Recreation matters, saying the guard rails near the pickleball court have been installed and that the parking lot at Lake Charlotte Park "will be paved within the next 10 days." The Lions Club plans to place its logo on the pickleball courts and has discussed further improvements including enclosing the west side of the pavilion with garage-style doors to allow use in inclement weather and widening sidewalks to meet accessibility needs.
Schroeder said the liquor store has seen increased customers tied to local staffing changes in industry and noted ongoing discussions about additional park upgrades. No formal procurements or funding votes for the park improvements were recorded at the meeting.
