Council approved starting the process, with candidates subject to background checks and fitness evaluations.
The council reviewed two quotes for the statutorily required biennial body-worn camera data audit: The Axtell Group at $2,500.00 and Rampart Audit LLC at $2,754.20 (Rampart indicated it would verify evidence-room storage practices). Mayor Jim Kreemer moved to table the bodycam audit discussion until the council gathered additional details; council carried the motion.
