Staff told the committee that requests for proposals for an emergency management building are currently posted and are scheduled to be opened in mid-January. “The RFPs, are out right now. So we will open those, mid January,” a staff member said.
Committee members noted that the building would be a capital improvement expected to be financed through borrowing and therefore handled separately from the HoChunk/25 funds discussion. Staff said they will return with more detailed estimates once RFP responses give a clearer cost picture.
